Recordings from 78 rpm records on the subject of Charles Lindbergh's solo flight across the Atlantic in 1927. The recordings are ballads by various artists from that era, including Harry Crane, Bob Thomas, Leroy Monesanto, Ernest Rogers, Vaughn De Leath (1896-1943), and Rev. Leora Ross; all Anglo-American singers. Five of the ballads are by Vernon Dalhart (1883-1948) of Jefferson, Tex.

Harry Crane was born in Brooklyn, NY and became a stand up comedian by age 19. He was recruited by MGM to write Hollywood films earning his first credit with Air raid wardens (1943). He is best remembered for creating and writing the Honeymooners (1951). In the 1970s, he helped write Dean Martin's Celebrity roast series.
